A venous leg ulcer is the most common type of leg ulcer, accounting for over 9 out of every 10 cases, while arterial leg ulcers are more infrequent.
Venous leg ulcers can develop following a minor injury, if persistently high pressure in the veins of the legs has caused damage to the skin. While arterial leg ulcers are caused by poor blood circulation in the arteries, You are also more at risk to leg ulcers following a hip or knee replacement.
How Niagara Therapy can help with both venous and arterial leg ulcers
It can be sometimes difficult to treat leg ulcers, bandages and dressings are not always enough to heal an ulcer, especially when the underlying problem is poor blood flow or circulation.
NHC Cyclo-Therapy has been medically tested* to help heal even the most prevalent leg ulcers through its deep penetrating massage, increasing blood circulation to the affected area
Cyclo-vibration therapy improves skin and soft tissue circulation which increases the delivery of healthy oxygenated blood and the removal of waste products and toxins. This can improve the healing of soft tissue injury and wounds like leg ulcers.
Increased circulation stimulates the production processes involved in the healing and regeneration of cells and soft tissues.
By improving circulation, your body naturally benefits from being more oxygenated while unwanted waste and toxins are removed from the affected area. This in turn reduces swelling, relieves pain and supports the body’s natural repair system.
